Sign language is a visual and spatial language used primarily by people who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing. Sign language uses hand movements and specific signs, eyes, facial expressions, and body orientation and positioning to communicate. As with any spoken language, sign language has grammar and structure rules, and evolves over time. Different countries or even groups within a country or region typically have their own version of sign language, which is unique to their region and culture.
