Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational framework developed by CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology) that provides flexible approaches to teaching and learning, ensuring all students, including those with disabilities, can access and engage with content. UDL removes barriers by offering multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement from the start, creating a more inclusive learning environment. For example, providing materials in various formats (text, audio, video) supports diverse learners by addressing different needs and preferences.
