Touch (or tactile) tours are designed primarily for visitors who are blind or have low vision and provide participants the opportunity to touch and examine specially selected objects that may be part of an exhibition, performance, or cultural experience. Examples may include art that is made or allowed to be touched, a sample of fabric of the same type as a costume in play, sculptures or other three dimensional art objects, tactile graphics representing two-dimensional art, tactile models, or maps showing features of a space, etc. and more. A Touch Tour will include description, and possibly other sensory engagement.
