Social Model of Disability

The Social Model of Disability is a way to conceptualize disability that places the focus on the environment as well as societal norms and attitudes. Through this lens, the environment is disabling and if the environment and society were set up to fully include people with disabilities, then people with disabilities would not face the limitations that they currently face.
