Mobility Device

According to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), mobility devices are any devices that assist individuals with limited mobility. These devices are essential for many people, enabling them to navigate their environments with increased independence and safety. The term “mobility device” is broad, encompassing tools such as wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and canes. In certain environments, there may be specific guidelines or restrictions on some devices, such as Segways. Additionally, Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices (OPMDs), including electric scooters and powered wheelchairs, are also considered mobility devices, subject to certain regulations depending on the context and environment.
