Low sensory/quiet spaces are designed specifically to help people with sensory disabilities or needs to decompress and reduce sensory overload. These spaces may also be beneficial to people who need a break or rest for many different reasons, which may include those with chronic fatigue syndrome, long COVID, who are post-seizure, and/or undergoing intensive medical treatment. Generally, the rooms are quiet, not crowded and have reduced sensory stimulation.
