A seat located on an accessible aisle with a removable or flip-up armrest to support easier transfers from mobility devices, near accessible routes in a venue. Sometimes called a transfer seat, this seating type is regulated by the ADA Standards for Accessible Design. However, who may use the seat is not restricted—it can benefit anyone who finds it more comfortable or accessible, including people of larger body size or with non-mobility-related access needs.
