Audio description uses words to convey visual information which assists people who are blind or have low vision to access and experience television, films, performances, exhibitions, etc. It may also be referred to as Video or Verbal description depending on the experience and context. It may be delivered live, recorded, or through text. With performing arts this may include auditory information about important actions, characters, scene changes, and on-screen text. Audio description also benefits users who have difficulty understanding visual information.
