An Access Table refers to a designated customer service space for access services and equipment as well as information about accessibility. Typically set up before an event for patrons to select in the moment or pick up previously arranged access materials such as tickets, assistive listening devices, noise-cancelling headphones, or effective communication tools like large-print programs or augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) boards. And typically remains open until the end of the event to collect back any borrowed devices or equipment from patrons. Also may be referred to as an Access Station, or Access Kiosk.
