Katie Samson

Katie Samson received her BA in Art History and Anthropology from Middlebury College and her MA in Art History/Visual Culture and Museum Studies Certificate from the University of Arizona. As the current Senior Director of Education at Chax Training and Consulting and Tamman, Inc., a digital accessibility company, Katie works with a team of accessibility engineers and designers on building a more inclusive web. Through conferences, webinars, and training, Katie presents on topics of inclusion, accessibility and inclusive design. She is the co-host of the Article 19 Podcast, a certified Aging-in-Place Specialists, and consultant/advisor on inclusive practices in grant making, public health research, architecture and education and she previously taught Disability Studies at West Chester University. She is the founder of an adaptive birding group for people with disabilities in the Philadelphia area and volunteers as a Peer Mentor for people with Spinal Cord Injury through Empower SCI. Katie enjoys adaptive sports, birding, gardens, live music, and storytelling.
