John McEwen is a nonprofit arts executive with over 35 years of experience in the areas of fundraising, program planning, board development, and strategic planning. Currently, John serves as the Executive Director of New Jersey Theatre Alliance, a service organization for the state and region’s 44 professional theatres. Prior to the Alliance, John served as Vice President for Development of the New Jersey Network Foundation where he was responsible for providing the leadership for the annual fund in support of NJN Public Television and Radio’s programs and services. Prior to joining NJN, John served as the Director of Development for Paper Mill Playhouse where he provided leadership to the theatre’s Project Completion capital campaign, strategic planning and board development; and instituted many of its award-winning access services for patrons with disabilities. John is a trustee of the Fund for New Jersey Blind, and serves as the Secretary of the Board for MidAtlantic Arts.
