Bryan Gould

Bryan Gould is the Director of the Carl and Ruth Shapiro Family National Center for Accessible Media at GBH (NCAM.) Established in 1991, NCAM is a research, development and consulting group that continues a half-century of ground-breaking media accessibility work at GBH and is a national leader in making digital media accessible for people with disabilities. As director, Bryan develops and maintains NCAM’s collaborative relationships with corporate and public-sector partners, industry leaders, technology firms, content creators, academic institutions, cultural organizations, federal and state agencies, standards groups, and others who have formed partnerships with NCAM to further their goals of providing more accessible products and services. During his 29 years with GBH, Bryan has conducted blindness-related research and development projects ranging from improving access to complex scientific images and high-stakes assessments to amusement park rides and smart phone apps. Bryan’s published guidelines have been adopted by many educational publishers and accessibility organizations.
